First Aid Tips For Orlando Tourists

The last thing you will want to think about is any type of emergency situation arising during your vacation. However, if you'll follow a few simple steps, you'll most likely eliminate any type of interruption to your plans.

The most common occurrence whenever you visit a strange city or even a strange country, is getting used to the water and the food. It's a real bummer, but, the most common ailment is diarrhea. Now, this is the last thing we like to talk about, especially on a vacation based web site, but...think about it.

You eat a hearty breakfast, drink coffee, and off to the theme parks you go! There are you are, standing in line when all of the sudden your tummy is doing a few loops itself. What do you do and why is this happening?

Well the first thing you do is you go into your bag (that we taught you all about earlier) and grab your favorite anti-diarrhea medicine. If you think about it, the juice and coffee that you're drinking is local water. Your body is not used to it. Those eggs most likely came from a local farm, again, your body isn't used to it. Some people are far more sensitive than others. Be prepared!

A few other things you might want to consider bringing with you:

  • Tylenol / Advil (Headaches can ruin a great day!)

  • A Few Band Aids (Minor cuts - you don't want to expose them!)

  • Antacid (Theme Park Food can get pretty greasy!)

Basically you can bring all of this in small amounts and keep them handy. You don't need to bring the entire medicine cabinet, but, if you are on daily prescriptions, you might want to get yourself a travel pill carrier. This way you won't have to worry about having to carry a pharmacy with you.

Most of the larger Theme Parks have some sort of minor emergency medical facility on property with trained medical professionals. As always, if there is a real emergency - the emergency number to remember is 911. (Make sure that your kids know this too!)
